Lake McArthur, our first destination in the Lake O'Hara basin. This stunningly beautiful area is tightly controlled. Only a few people are allowed in every day. Most get in via reservations long since made, but if you call the Parks Canada station in Field at 8am and are lucky, you might get one of six available seats on the bus for the following day. We were lucky -- I got through and got us seats after hitting redial about 50 times from the lodge's phone!
